As most of you know, the Kansas City Tribe ended its affiliation the IWFL on August 19, 2010.
Unfortunately, the team was forced to resort to legal action since the IWFL made its intention to pursue a $50,000.00 non-compete penalty with any team choosing to end its affiliation with the league (i.e. the Jersey Justice and the Binghampton Tiger Cats) clear.
The team did not make this decision lightly, but felt the IWFL did not provide an opportunity to grow the sport, or provide our players, staff and fans with the best experience possible.
As for the upcoming season, the Tribe is still considering a number of exciting options for the team and the sport of women’s football and we look forward to seeing you on the field in 2011. |

Tribe Falls to 5-2 After Hard Fought Loss to Diamonds 21-35 |
|
The Tribe traveled down I-35 to Dallas where 90+ temperatures awaited the team. A slow start led to a 20-7 half-time score, and the despite cutting the lead to 7 at one point, the team couldn't capitalize on key plays to overcome its initial shortcomings.
All hope is not lost however! The Tribe returns to Kansas City for the final regular season game at on June 5th. The Tribe has never been defeated since it started calling Center High School home, and a convincing win over the Chicago Force puts the team right back in the hunt for a play-off spot!
Please make plans to attend the game June 5th. Kickoff is at 5:00 p.m. and we need our 12th man in the stands to bring home a victory! |
