Coach Ed Williams
Head Coach
Ed Williams

Ed Williams is a lifetime football fanatic. He began playing organized football in junior high and went on to be a four-year letter winner in high school. During his high school football career, he was named All Conference, All District, and Senior Lineman of the Year for the Southeast Region.

Ed then went on to play college ball at Central Methodist University where he was named Freshman Scout Team Player of the Year and received Honorable Mention All Conference twice. Following college, he went on to play semi-professional football for four years.

Since 1998, Ed had been coaching Little League football, an endeavor he finds very rewarding. Ed has been coaching women's semi-professional football in Kansas City since its inception in 2003.

Coach Ed led the team to a 6-2 finish in 2007, wining the Mid-South division of the IWFL. Prior to assuming the head coaching duties in 2007, Ed was the defensive line coach. He was also the offensive coordinator for the Kansas Kaos, a local men's semi-professional team.

Defensive Coordinator
Jermaine "Bru" Goodwin

Coach Bru is a native of St. Louis and simply a student of sports. His love of sports led him to Wichita State University where he received a degree in sports administration. While attending Wichita State, he began his coaching career with a local youth football league. His success as a coach earned him the distinct honor of being named an All Star Coach for two consecutive seasons.

After a short break, he returned to the women's game in 2007 to lead the defense to three shut-outs on the season.

Offensive Line
Larry Stoner

Coach Larry Stoner is the Offensive Line Coach for the Kansas City Tribe. It is his second year coaching women's tackle football, but Coach Stoner has been involved with various levels of football for over 25 years. He started as a Board Member for the Independence Missouri POP Warner organization in 1980 and continued in that position until 1985. He then served as a member of the Truman High School Patriots Booster Club from 1985-1995.

Beginning in 1998, he coached the Truman High School Freshman Football Team for five years, through the 2003 season. He also served as Statistician for the Truman Varsity Squad.

Coach Stoner is currently coaching the Independence School District 8th Grade Football Team during the Tribe's off-season.

Defensive Line
Aaron Sawyer
Coach Sawyer just finished his first year coaching women's football in 2007. He helped lead the team to three defensive shut-outs on the season. He has coached youth football for several years and has extensive playing experience.

Wide Receivers
Michelle Albanese

Coach Michelle is entering her sixth year of coaching women's tackle football. She started her career in St. Louis as an assistant coach for the Slam (NWFA) in the 2003 and 2004 seasons. A job transfer brought her to her to Kansas City in 2005 and she has been coaching women's football here since.

Linebackers
Chris Collins

Coach Chris Collins joins the Tribe coaching staff with a wealth of playing experience at all different levels of football. After being a three-sport standout in high school, Collins went on to Highland Community College where he played wide receiver and safety. While at HCC, he was named to the Jayhawk Conference All-Star team. After HCC, Collins moved on to Friends University in Wichita Kansas. While in Wichita, Colllins competed on the Wichita Stealth and then the Wichita Aztecs as a defensive end, where he received honors as an all star in the CFL Division. Coach Collins currently plays linebacker for the Kansas Kaos. He was named an NAFL All-Star at the linebacker position in the 2007 season, his first with the team.
