Ed
Williams is a lifetime football fanatic.
He began playing organized football in junior
high and went on to be a four-year letter
winner in high school. During his high school
football career, he was named All Conference,
All District, and Senior Lineman of the
Year for the Southeast Region.
Ed
then went on to play college ball at Central
Methodist University where he was named
Freshman Scout Team Player of the Year
and received Honorable Mention All Conference
twice. Following college, he went on to
play semi-professional football for four
years.
Since
1998, Ed had been coaching Little League
football, an endeavor he finds very rewarding.
Ed has been coaching women's semi-professional
football in Kansas City since its inception
in 2003.
Coach
Ed led the team to a 6-2 finish in 2007,
wining the Mid-South division of the IWFL.
Prior to assuming the head coaching duties
in 2007, Ed was the defensive line coach.
He was also the offensive coordinator
for the Kansas Kaos, a local men's semi-professional
team.

Jermaine "Bru" Goodwin |

| Coach
Bru is a native of St. Louis and simply a
student of sports. His love of sports led
him to Wichita State University where he received
a degree in sports administration. While attending
Wichita State, he began his coaching career
with a local youth football league. His success
as a coach earned him the distinct honor of
being named an All Star Coach for two consecutive
seasons.
After a short break, he returned to the
women's game in 2007 to lead the defense
to three shut-outs on the season.

Courtney Porter |

| This
season marks Porter's 11th year coaching football
at various levels. He began his coaching career
as the defensive backs coach at his alma mater,
the University of Missouri – Rolla in
1997. After two seasons with the Miners, he
relocated to Chicago for two years, where
he coached running backs at DuPage County
Junior College. The Chapparels won the Division
I Junior College, Central Division, National
Title in 2000. Afterwards, Coach Porter resumed
his playing career in the Indoor Football
League and in 2001 was selected as the Defensive
Coordinator player/coach for the Sioux City
Bandits arena football team. In
2003 he began his venture into women's tackle
football when he accepted the head coach
position for the Kansas City Krunch, where
he posted a 5-3 record. He also served as
head coach for the Kansas City Storm in
2005 and 2006. Porter coached at Blue Valley
Northwest from 2005-2007, before completing
last season at Center High School.

| Coach
Sawyer is entering his third year coaching
women's football. He helped lead the Tribe
to five defensive shut-outs the past two seasons.
He has coached youth football for several
years and has extensive playing experience. |

Line
Brad Shockley |
|
Coach
Shockley started playing football in 4th grade
in the Johnson County Recreation Leagues.
He played for the Trailridge Cowboys and former
NFL prospect Kent Gash. Brad went on to play
football at Perry Middle School as part of
the Varsity squad. He also started and lettered
for three years at Perry-Lecompton High School,
where he competed in the sub-state playoffs
in his Senior year.
Shockley continued his football career at
Graceland College, where he made the Varsity
Traveling squad as a Freshman and Sophomore.
Brad played the positions of Weak Side Guard,
Center, and Long Snapper at Graceland College.
Coach Shockley served as a Scouting Coach
at Center High School in the fall of 2008. |

Laura Sheldon |

| Coach
Sheldon is entering her first year as a women's
football coach after playing in the Kansas
City area for five years. Sheldon was a versatile
utility player who played a variety of positions,
including receiver, full back, defensive back,
linbacker and kicker/punter. |
