Tribe
Enters Final Week of Regular Season 6-1 After
Tough Road Victory |
|
The
Kansas City Tribe improved to 6-1 on the season
after the 19-12 victory over the Wisconsin Warriors.
The first half of the game was played in a constant
drizzle and the Tribe offense could never get
in a groove, as the customary long ball threat
was not in the works for the day. The team held
on for the win however, and will travel to Minnesota
in the final week of the regular season in hopes
of going 7-1. |

Kansas
City Tribe Over Chicago Force 30-14 |
|
The
25 women of the Kansas City Tribe donned their
football gear Saturday night in the 90 degree
heat to take on the 2009 National Runner-up Chicago
Force, and its full 45 player squad. It was about
redemption for the Tribe, as their sole loss on
the season resulted from the trip to Chicago the
first weekend of May. This game had major play-off
implications, including the effect on home field
advantage. It also would gain the team respect
around the league as a true contender.
The Tribe rose to the occasion and defeated the
Force 30-14. Check back soon for additional details
and a full recap of the game! |

Tribe
Continues Success to Improve to 4-1 with a 48-6
Victory over the Fox |
|
The
Tribe improved to 4-1 on the season with 48-6
victory over the Clarksville Fox. After a defensive
stop, the powerful Tribe offense came out of
the gates blazing when Jenny Schmidt connected
with Tegan Stuart for a 72 yard touchdown reception
on the first offensive play. The two point conversion
fell short. Later in the first quarter, Schmidt
found Megan Penrod in the flat for a 10 yard
touchdown run to go up 12-0. Sweeten failed
to connect on the point after.
In
the second half of the game, Schmidt and Brittany
Fischer played catch for three straight touchdown,
10, 12 and 30 yards respectively. Penrod ran
in a two point conversion, and Sweeten connected
on one of the two remaining PATs. The Tribe's
final score resulted when Schmidt found Tegan
Stuart in the endzone for a 13 yard pass, which
improved Stuart's touchdown streak to five games.
Sweeten also connected on the final extra point.
Defensively,
the Tribe held strong, as the Fox's lone score
came from an interception which was returned
for a touchdown. Layne Anonsen and Mindy White
led the way with eight tackles each. Regan Campbell

Tribe
Falls to Chicago Force 28-6
|
|
The
Kansas City Tribe lost a hard fought game to the
2008 National Runner-up Chicago Force. The Defense
held strong for the first half, only giving up

offensively, coupled with a few key turnovers
led to the loss. Tegan Stuart accounted for the
only score of the day off a 36 yard pass play
from Jenny Schmidt. Rusty Sowers finished with
70 yards off six receptions and Megan Penrod led
the rushing charge with 73 yards on 11 carries.
Defensively, Mindy White finished with 14 tackles

The first 50 mothers entering the stadium will
receive a gift to celebrate the holiday and we
